Born in 1965 in Reus, Tarragona, Andreu Buenafuente is a communicator and one of the most respected comedians in the country with an extensive artistic career.

He likes to experiment, and that is why he enjoys trying out different art forms: from painting to illustration, as well as photography. And Buenafuente has had a special relationship with art for over 30 years; self-taught, he takes his inner world as a reference point to create. Light, colours, composition and strokes come together with strength and delicacy in all his work.

“The path of art is long but very beautiful. When you manage to express an emotion through art, the pleasure is incomparable, magical, almost eternal."

He has exhibited in Barcelona and Girona, as well as participating on a comic strip in The New York Times (2008). In the world of publishing, he published his first book of illustrations “No entiendo nada”I understand Nothing (Reservoir Books, 2015), his illustrated diary “Reír es la única salida” Laughing is the Only Way Out (Harper Collins, 2020) and his children’s book "La lista mágica de animales" The magical List of Animals with the illustrations for "Grillo en Casa" Cricket at Home (Planeta, 2022).
